Noakhali road accident kills schoolgirl

NOAKHALI, Jun 05 (BSS): A schoolgirl was killed as a pickup van ran over her in Basurhat-Burir Masjid area under Compan-iganj upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nusrat Jahan Sinthia, 14, a student of class eight of Maksudah Government Girl's High School and daughter of Zakir Hossain, a resident of Ward No. 4 of Basurhat municipality.
Police said the accident occurred in the area at about 11 am when the pickup van hit her from behind. Sinthia died on the spot.
