BENAPOLE, Sept 25 (UNB): Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a suspected smuggler along with five gold bars weighing 2.30 kg from the Kanchabazar area of Benapole while attempting to smuggle them to India on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestee is Kadam Ali, on of Azizur Rahman of Putkhali village under Benapole Port Police Station. Lt. Colo Saifullah Siddiqui, the commander of the Jashore 49 BGB Battalion, confirmed the matter.
