One commits suicide in Benapole

BENAPOLE, May 20 (UNB): A businessman committed suicide by drinking pesticide at Dhanyakhola village in Sharsha Upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Rinkon Hossain, 25, son of late Mizanur Rahman, a resident of Danyakhola village.

Family sources of the victim said Rinkon took a loan of Tk 1.6 million (16 lakh) for his business. But he could not repay the loan as he suffered a loss in the business.

Later, the lenders started to put pressure on him for the money which embarrassed him and his family members.

Following this, on Tuesday night Rinkon drank some pesticide.

Later, he was whisked off to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
