CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 28 (BSS): A court here today awarded one person to life term imprisonment for killing his wife in 2007. Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdus Salam Khan delivered the verdict.
The court also fined him Taka 10,000, in default, to suffer more six months in jail.
The convicted person was Md Mithu, son of Jamed Ali of Jahidpur village under Nachole upazila of the district.
According to the prosecution story, Mithu killed his wife Razia Khatun, 20, daughter of Bodiuzzaman of the same village on August 12, 2007 at night by administering her sleeping pills.
