One hacked to death in Laxmipur

LAXMIPUR, Feb 9 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a man at Radhapur village in Sadar upazila on Saturday noon.
The deceased was identified as Muradul Islam Sumon, 35, a microbus driver and son of Delwar hossain of Sahapur village in the upazila.
Witnesses said local people found the hacked body of Sumon in a betel-nut garden in the area around 12:30pm and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station said that Sumon was hacked to death by unknown miscreants and his body was dumped in the area sometime after Friday midnight.
Mother of the deceased said Sumon went missing since four men coming in two motorcycles picked him up from his home on Thursday evening.
