One killed, 10 injured in Sirajganj clash

SIRAJGANJ, May 7 (BSS): A man was killed and 10 others injured following a clash between two rival groups at Khoichala village under Raiganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Abdur Rashid, 60, son of late Azimuddin of the same village. Police said the clash broke out between two rival groups over a disputed land of the village.

As a sequel to enmity both the groups equipped with local weapons attacked each other, leaving one dead on the spot and 10 people injured. The injured were sent to local hospital.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, said Office in-charge of Raiganj thana Rasedul Islam.
