One killed as fire breaks out in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, June 15 (UNB): An elderly woman was burnt to death and three others suffered injuries as a fire broke out at a house in Uposhahar area of the district town early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mirijan Nesa, 75, wife of late Jabbar Ali, while the injured were Ajadul Islam, 55, son of Mirijan, his wife Rashida Begum, 45, and his daughter Sabina Yeasmin, 24, of the village.

Sadar Fire Station senior officer Zakir Hossain said the fire originated from electric short circuit at the house around 4:45 am and soon it engulfed the adjoining ones.
