One killed, four injured in road accident

KHULNA, Apr 8 (BSS): One person was killed and four others injured in a collision between a truck and a jeep in Joyarer Beel area under Dumuria upazila in the district last night.

The deceased Kabir Hossain Kazi, was a bus worker of Gutudia and general secretary of Dumuria Road Accident Prevention Committee.

The accident occurred when the jeep driver lost his control over the steering in strong wind and dust and collided with a truck parked in front of a filling station.

Kabir was rushed to Dumuria Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead.

Of the injured, one was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) while the others were released after primary treatment.
