One killed in cylinder blast in Bogra

BOGRA, Dec 11 (UNB): A pedestrian was killed and a rickshaw-puller injured as a gas cylinder for inflating balloons exploded in Sutrapur area of the district town on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ruku Chowdhury,18, son of Maksud Chowdhury, a resident of Gohail Road area in the town.

Witnesses said Ruku died on the spot and a rickshaw-puller sustained injuries as some parts of a gas cylinder for inflating balloons hit them after it went off on the Gohail Road in the area at about 10:00 am. The injured rickshaw-puller was admitted to Mohammad Ali Hospital.
