One killed in Faridpur road accident

FARIDPUR, July 7 (BSS): A young boy was killed when he was run over by a passenger coach at Nowapara bus stand on Dhaka-Gopalganj highway under Bhanga upazilla of the district yesterday.

Police said, the deceased was identified as Sohag, 16 son of Torab Ali of Hamirdi village of Bhanga was crashed under the wheels of a Dhaka bound coach Sheba Green Line bearing no. Dhaka Metro BA-11-640 while he crossing the road.

Police recovered the body and handed it over to the family of the deceased as per desire of the family without any post mortem.

Police detained the passenger coach but the driver managed to escape.
