One killed over extramarital affair

KUSHITA, July 5 (UNB): A young man was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends over extramarital relationship at Mallikpur Kulpara village in Mirpur upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain Miraj, 35, son of late Hamza Hossain of the village.

Shahidul Islam Shaheen, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station, said Miraj developed an extramarital relationship with the wife of his friend Kamal recently.

When Kamal came to know about the incident, he called Miraj to a place near his house at about 11:30 pm and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
