JHENIDAH, Feb 17: Local residents and students brought out an agitation procession and formed a human chain at Sheikhpara bazaar under Jhenidah Sadar upazila demanding arrest of abductors and killers of child Lokkhi Rani, Sunday.
The progrmmes were participated, among others, by Shailendra Nath, president of Hindu Parishad, A M Babor, ex-president of District Teachers' Association, K M Shafiqul Islam and Sheikh Robiul Islam.
The participant learners blocked Khulan-Kushtia highway for two hours. They gave the local administration 15 day's ultimatum, sought its strict action and suspended the programmes.
Lakkhi Rani, 4, was abducted from home on February 7, 2014. She was killed after three days and her dead body was left under a bridge as the abductors could not get Tk 50,000 ransom from the family.
