Pass percentage, GPA recipients fall in Sylhet board

SYLHET, May 30: Both the pass percentage and the number of GPA-5 recipients of Sylhet board in the SSC examination went down this year. The pass percentage is 81.82 this year against the last year's 89.23. The GPA recipients are 2452 against the last year's 3341. Sylhet Board's Controller of Examinations Professor Abdul Mannan Khan announced the results at his office yesterday morning.

The examinees this year suffered much due to the repeated shift in routine due to strikes and blockades, he said adding, a good number of students however had poor result in mathematics.

A total of 58,932 examinees came out successful against the total 72,245 this year.
