Patient found hanged at Manikganj health complex

MANIKGANJ, Oct 25 (UNB): A patient was found hanged at an abandoned toilet of Saturia Upazila Health Complex in the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Shamsuddin Bepari alias Gedu, 70, son of late Sultan Bepari of Uttar Kaunnara village in Saturia upazila.

Abul Bashar, chairman of Saturia union parishad, said Gedu had been suffering from heart ailment for long.

Besides, a pacemaker had been placed in his chest four years back. On October 15, Gedu was admitted to Saturia Upazila Health Complex after being attacked with diarrhea.

He had remained missing from the hospital since Sunday. Smelling bad odour, the authorities conducted a search and found Gedu' s body hanging from the ceiling on Friday.
