Patuakhali Medical College interns go on strike

PATUAKHALI, Apr 17 (UNB): The outpatient services at Patuakhali Medical College and Hospital remained suspended since Thursday morning as the hospital interns went on a work abstention protesting the suspension of a doctor over 'wrong treatment'.

The interns of the medical college and hospital locked the hospital's outpatient gate and formed a human chain on Thursday morning.

Later, they staged a sit-in programme in front of the gate.

Students from

the medical college and nursing institute also joined in solidarity with the interns, causing immense suffering of the patients.
