PABNA, May 20: Cross section people of Aminpur thana in Bera upazila of Pabna on Wednesday staged a demonstration protesting indiscriminate drug trading in Aminpur for last couple of years.
Citizens' body including businessmen, teachers, political leaders, students joined the protest procession carrying banners, festoons demanding to stop drug trading and business in Aminpur for saving the youth.
Organised by conscious citizens' body of Aminpur thana the agitators brought out a protest procession from the Sayedpur school premises and paraded the main streets of Aminpur Bazar area and staged a protest rally in front of Aminpur police station demanding removal of illegal drugs den from Aminpur.
Agitators handed over a memorandum to Aminpur police station seeking immediate step for removing drug dens here in Aminpur.
