Pharmacy dept holds 1st alumni meeting at Rajshahi University

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Mar 04: The present and former teacher-students of Pharmacy Department at Rajshahi University (RU) celebrated the first alumni meeting and reunion with enthusiasm and fanfare mood at the campus on Sunday.

Earlier at 10.00 teachers, students and officials of the department brought out a colorful rally from the dept premises at 2nd science building that parading the whole campus gathered in a discussion at the Shaheed Sukha Ranjan Samadder Teacher-Student Cultural Centre (TSCC) at 11am.

The discussion begins through the displayed documentary on different activities of pharmacy department on the previous days.

RU Pro-VC Prof. Ananda Kumar Saha addressed the ceremony as the chief guest while Prof. AK Azad Chowdhury, Professor Emirates, Dhaka University (DU) was special guest.

Bangladesh Pharmacy Council (BPC) Vice-president Prof. Mosaddek Hossain attended the function as alumni reunion speaker.

Among others, BPC vice-president Prof. Md. Anwarul Islam, Dr. Ekramul Haque, founder chairperson of RU pharmacy dept, and Prof. Abdul Gofur were also addressed the discussion meeting while departmental head Prof. Md Aktar Uzzaman was in the chair.

Speakers said that the pharmaceutical industry of the Bangladesh is fast moving forward. Even, Bangladesh is exporting pharmaceuticals in about 140 countries of the world.

The speakers expressed their hope that current students will make this industry more effective in human service with their talent and creativity.
