Rajbari, Gazipur road accidents kill three

Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Rajbari and Gazipur districts on Wednesday and Tuesday night, report agencies.

In Rajbari, a class I student was killed after being hit by a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari on Wednesday.

The deceased was Jui, 7, daughter of one China Khatun of Dangapara village under Nababpur union of the upazila.

She was a student of Padmodi Chandana Guchhogram Government School and used to live with her mother.

Locals said auto-rickshaw ran over her while she was crossing a road in front of the school after end of school around 12 noon, leaving her dead on the spot.

In Gazipur, two persons were killed in two separate accidents in Tongi and Konabari-Kashimpur area in Gazipur in Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Saidul Islam, 27, son of Barek Hawlader hailed from Amirabad village of Baufal upazila under Patuakhali district, and Nur Mohammad, 30, son of Jainal Abedin from Sailachapra village of Muktagacha upazila under Mymensingh district.

Tongi Railway Police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Choton Sarma said Saidul Islam died on the spot as he was walking through the middle of Dhaka-Mymensingh railway level crossing in Tongi Dirasram bridge area and hit by Dewanganj bound Brahmaputra Express left from the capital at 8.30 pm.

Another victim Nur Mohammad died on the spot as his motorbike hit by a cavard van at Konabari-Kashimpur regional road at around11.30pm on Tuesday, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Kamaruzzaman of (ASI) Kashimpur Police Station.
