Re-excavation ceremony of pond concludes

KURIGRAM, Apr 25: The concluding ceremony of re-excavation of Kurigram Zila Parishad pond on voluntary basis by the members of Zila Parishad Kormokorta Kormochari Samity for the last two months was held on April 24.

Kurigram Deputy Commissioner ABM Azad was present as the chief guest while superintendent of police Dr. Mohammad Tobarak Ullah and Sadar upazila chairman Panir Uddin were the special guests.

The function was addressed, among others, by Ulipur upazila chairman Haider Ali Miah, president of Kurigram Press Club Mominul Islam Monju, principal of Kurigram Law College and eminent lawyer advocate SM Abraham Lincoln and chairman of Belgacha union council Mahbubar Rahman.

Reporters of both print and electronic media were also present. A good number of local elite as well as businessmen participated in the function.
