CHUADANGA, May 8: The World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2014 was observed under the banner of 'My Red Cross, My Red Crescent' in Chuadanga district with elaborate programmes on Thursday.
A colourful rally was brought out from Red Crescent's office premises led by Mr Fazlur Rahman, Secretary of Red Crescent Society, Chuadanga district unit. The rally ended at the same place after parading through main streets of the town.
Students from different educational institutes took part in the rally.
Later, a discussion meeting was held at Red Crescent's hall room. Advocate Mr Selim Uddin Khan, acting president of Red Crescent Society district unit was present as the chief guest.
