Road accidents kill six in five districts


A total of six persons were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh,Chattogram, Noakhali, Savar and Cumilla districts on Thursday, reports BSS.
In Mymensingh, two persons were killed and one injured while a motorbike hit behind a sand-laden truck at Haluaghat here on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Al Aksha, 28, hailed from Dapunia of Mymensingh city, and Shakil, 26, from Gohailkandi.
In Chattogram, a man was killed and four others including his spouse and children were injured in a road accident at Rangunia area on Thursday when a brick loaded truck collided head-on a CNG auto-rickshaw.
The deceased was identified as Kiron Dey, 50, son of Atul Dey of Mohra area under Chandgaon police station in the city.
In Noakhali, a man died after being hit by a bus in the Karalia area under Companiganj upazila of the district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Main Uddin, 50, an employee of a vegetable shop and a resident of Charkakra union of the upazila.
In Savar, a truck driver was killed and another injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Aricha highway under Dhamrai Thana early Thursday.
However, the identity of the deceased could not be known.
In Cumilla, a minor girl was killed and five others were injured in a road accident at Belasahar under Chandina upazila here on Thursday.
The deceased Lamha, 6, was the daughter of Shakil Ahamed, a resident of Madyonagar village under Debidar upazila of the district.
