Road crashes kill five in three dists -

Five persons were killed in separate road accidents in Jashore, Dinajpur and Jhenaidah districts on Wednesday, report agencies.

In Jashore, two people were killed and 19 others injured in two separate road accidents in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The dead are Bashu Karmokar (47), son of Madhu Karmoker, a resident of Gopaldi village under Madhukhali upazila in Faridpur district and Yousuf Ali Talukder (30), son of Hazrot Ali Talukder, a resident of Sankorpur area in Jashore town.

The first accident occurred near Kodalia Govt Primary School at 7.30 am when a Magura-bound bus veer off the road as its driver lost control over the steering..Yusuf Ali died on the spot as a bus hit him around 8:00 am in the Bakchar area of the district town. In, Dinajpur, two people died after a truck hit a van in Chandapar area under Dinajpur's Parbatipur upazila on Wednesday.

The dead are Abul Kalam (50), and his nephew Ashraful Islam (25).

In Jhenaidah, a woman was killed and her husband and daughter were injured in a road accident at Brahmapur village under Shailkupa upazila of the district on Wednesday. The dead is Ruma Khatun (35), wife of Rabi Khan, a resident of village Dhuliapara of the upazila.
