Robber killed in lynch-mob attack in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Nov 25 (UNB): A suspected robber was killed and three others injured in a mob attack at Shuktail village in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Rahim Sarder, 40, a resident of Puronu Bazar area of the upazila.

Police said said 7-8 robbers swooped on the house of Zafor Master around 2:30 am at the village.

Hearing screams of the house inmates, villagers rushed in and caught four bandits red-handed. The villagers then gave the four a tremendous thrashing leaving one of them dead on the spot and three others seriously injured.

Four villagers also suffered injuries as the bandits hurled a crude bomb.

On information, police recovered Rahim's body.
