RU celebrates 62nd founding anniv

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, July 6:  The teachers, students and officials of Rajshahi University (RU) celebrated the university's 62nd founding anniversary amid a mood of festivity and fanfare on the campus today.

Marking the day the varsity authorities organised colourful processions, discussions and cultural events.

RU vice chancellor Prof. Muhammed Mizan Uddin addressing as the chief guest inaugurated the day-long programmes through releasing balloons, pigeons and hoisting the university flag in front of the administrative building.

Later over a hundred teachers, students and staff brought out a colourful procession led by the Vice-Chancellor that marched around the campus.

After the grand rally all were gathered in a discussion meeting at the university senate building.

Addressing a discussion the VC said the aim of the Liberation War is yet to be achieved, adding that the history of the country and the university are intertwined.
