RU Senate meet today after a decade

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, May 17: After more than a decade the Senate session of Rajshahi University (RU) will be held on May 18, sources said.  

Due to inactivity session of the Senate body, several vital decisions remained postponed over a long time.

The last senate session was held on 28-29 June 2001.

With a view to approving new financial year budget, establishment of one new department and institute, and extension of job age from 62 to 65 for the officers-employees, the Senate session is to be held on May 18, said by Prof Muhammed Mizan Uddin, vice chancellor of RU.
