RU students to get honorarium for help in research work

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Jan 27: The Rajshahi University (RU) authority has arranged honorarium for the students who assist in collecting data and information with teachers in research works. For this, the university revised some policies of keeping incentives for research project managers in the research works.

Deputy Registrar (RU Academic Section-2) Akter Hossain said recently the authority revised some policies of the university particularly to run research works smoothly.

According to the revised policy, in the section 5 Project Director (PD) will not get any honorarium. Instead of the honorarium PD will get the money equivalent to one month's basic salary, but not above Tk 50,000 for the purpose of conducting the research work of the project. After the completion of the project, the PD will get another amount of money in 2nd stages.

Apart from the section 6, the data collector can be appointed for 6 months. But this section has been amended to give Tk 3,000 monthly to the data collector (students).
