RUTA polls on Feb 24

RU Correspondent RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 22: The election of the Teachers' Association of Rajshahi University (RUTA) will be held on Feb 24. Awami League backed "Yellow Panel", BNP-Jama'at backed "White Panel" and a portion of the BNP group "Sonali Panel" will take part in the election. According to the official sources, the election will be held at Juberee Bhaban on the day from 8 am to 5 pm. A total of 1200 teachers will cast their votes to elect suitable persons to fifteen RUTA posts. Election Commissioner and present committee treasurer Dr Ruhul Amin said that all preparations for holding the elections are almost complete. To ensure a free, fair and credible election all kinds of preparations have been taken by the authority.
