MAGURA, Sept 25 (BSS): Speakers at a workshop on Thursday laid emphasis on coordinated efforts of all for ensuring safe food as it becomes a very crucial issue to avert food adulteration practices.

Alongside the government's initiative, people of all levels must be aware enough against any malpractice to adulterate food, they told the workshop held here.

The workshop titled "Youth Festival-2025 Towards Building a Bangladesh" was held in the conference hall of the District Council, organised by the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority and its Capacity Building Project, with support of the District Administration.

A.N.M. Nazim Uddin, Member (Joint Secretary) of the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority tended the workshop as the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam presided over it.

Officials and representatives of different government and non-government organisations, local government bodies, business leaders, teachers, journalists, and youth representatives, among others, attended the awareness programme.

Nazim Uddin said both government and non-government initiatives are needed for ensuing safe food for all as the government alone cannot achieve this much-needed goal.
