Schoolboy killed in B\\\'baria clash

A schoolboy was killed and five other people were injured in a clash between two rival groups over a trifling matter at Shimrail village in Kosba upazila of B'baria district on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Joynul Abedin, 16, a class X student of Shimrail High School and son of Dhanu Mia of the village. Police and locals said one Toufiqul Islam, 25, son of Naju Mia of the village, locked into an altercation with Joynal, over a trifling matter. At one stage, both groups equipped with home made arms attacked each other, leaving six people, including Joynal, injured. Critically injured Joynal was taken to Kosba Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead. The other injured were also hospitalised. A case was filed, according to UNB.
