Schoolgirl commits suicide in Satkhira

A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Kaliganj upazila in Satkhira district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Sarmin Sultana, 11, student of Class V and daughter of Soleman Gazi of Soilpur village under the upazila. Police recovered Sarmin’s hanging body from her bedroom and sent it to a hospital for autopsy. Nayan Chowdhury, sub-inspector of Kaliganj Police Station, confirmed the incident. He said an unnatural death case was filed, according to UNB.
