Seedlings distributed in Jamalpur, Sherpur

JAMALPUR, Oct 28 (BSS): Horticulture department, a wing of Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) distributed 40 thousand seedlings among the farmers in Jamalpur and Sherpur districts till October 28.

Jamalpur horticulture office sources said, under the post flood rehabilitation programme seedlings of brinjal, tomato and chili were distributed among 450 farmers in the two districts.

Jamalpur horticulture department produced 60,000 seedlings.  Of which 25,000 seedlings were of brinjal, 25,000 tomato and 10,000 of chili.

Horticulture officer M Habibur Rahman said with the seedlings each of the farmers could cultivate one decimal of land.
