Seminar on pre-primary education held

Another report says: A daylong seminar on "Pre-Primary Education" was held here on Tuesday in the conference room of Deputy Commissioner.

Local NGO RACINE organized the seminar in association with Campaign for Mass Education (CAMPE) aided by European Union.

The seminar was presided over by Shahajadi Begum, Head Mistress of Sarada Sundary Girls' High school while DC Sardar Shrafat Ali was present as the chief guest. Kh. Mohtesham Hossain Babor, chairman of Faridpur Sadar upazilla was the special guest.

The key note paper was presented by Asim Kumer Saha, Assistant Instructor of Resource Center, Nagarkanada upazilla of this district.

In the paper, the presenter mentioned that pre-primary education as enunciated by the government in the historical education policy of 2010 is a strong guideline for preparing a child for successive courses of children. In 2011, the arrangement of pre-primary was introduced in every government primary school.
