MAGURA, July 15: A seminar on rights of the disabled was held in Magura Tuesday.
Non-government organisation Faith in Action, Magura arranged the seminar at Shatrijitpur union parishad office of Magura.
Magura sadar Upazila chairman Nazimuddin was the chief guest in the seminar while Shatrijitpur union council chairman Rafiqul Islam was especial guest. Faith in Action, Magura executive director Niripen Boudda presided over the seminar.
Rashedul Azam read out the key-note paper in the seminar. The speakers said in the seminar as 11 percent of the total population in Bangladesh are disabled the real development of the country cannot be achieved ignoring them. The disabled should be treated with rights. Without establishing their rights they will not be able to contribute to the country in proper way.
