Sewing machines distributed among trainees

NILPHAMARI, Sept 12: A meeting on the occasion of distribution of certificates, sewing machines and beautification boxes among some young women trained on the trades was held recently at the local Shilpakala Academy.
The materials were provided by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs which was co-operated and regulated by Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Training of a total of 40 women out of which 20 were trained on sewing and the other 20 were trained on beautification was held at Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) office complex.
All expenses of the trainees in eight days training programme were maintained by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
Presided over by NCCI president SM Shafiqul Alam, the meeting was graced by Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, as the chief guest and attended by entrepreneurs, business persons and others.
