Shirin back home from Madrid

NILPHAMARI, Nov 10: Shirin Akhtar, a girl of Nilphamari returned home Sunday last after participating in the International Girl's Day in Spain. The 3rd Int’l Girl's Day was held in Madrid, the capital of Spain from 12 to 14 Oct this year.

The International Girl's Day was participated by students, parliament members and the civil society members where seminars, rallies and debates were held.

Shirin Akhtar presented the status of child marriage, their human rights and birth registration situation of her region.

On contact Shirin Akhtar said she wants to utilise the experience of Madrid in the country to establish the rights of the children.
