Sirajganj, Sunamganj, road accidents kill three

A total of three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Sunamganj and Sirajganj districts on early Sunday, report agencies.
In Sirajganj, two youths were killed as a speeding bus crashed into their motorbike on Dhaka-Pabna highway in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj early Sunday, said highway police.
The deceased were identified as Shariful Islam, 25, son of Mizanur Rahman of Matikata village under Ullapara, and Naimur Rahman, 22, son of Shafiqul Islam of Ratankandi village under Shahjadpur upazila of the district.
Abdur Rauf, officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, said the Dhaka-bound bus from Pabna smashed the Ullapara-bound bike from the opposite direction in Boalia area in early Sunday morning, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
On information, a police team was sent to the scene, the OC added.
In Sunamganj, a woman was killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Sylhet-Sunamganj highway in Nilpur area under Sadar upazila in the district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Rajia Khatun, 50, of Inamnagar village in Shantiganj upazila of the district.
