Smuggled Indian cloths seized in Magura

MAGURA, May 14: Smuggled Indian cloths were seized in Magura Thursday morning.
Magura police sub inspector Nasirul Islam informed following a tip off a team of DB police led by DB OC Imamul Hossein raided a bus (Purbasha Paribahan) at Vian area on Magura - Jessore road.
Police seized 74 pieces of sarees and 75 pieces of three pieces from the bus. The cloths were being smuggled to Dhaka.
The price of seized cloths stand at an estimated Tk one million (10 lakh). Police arrested one person from the bus in this connection.
The arrested was identified as Mokhlesur Rahman (42), son of Mubarak Hossen of village Vangchala under Razbari district.
A case was filed with Magura police station in this regard.
