RANGPUR, Feb 24 (BSS): Speakers at an anti-corruption planning meeting recently stressed for comprehensive efforts in launching a vigorous social movement, involving the common people, for building a corruption-free society.
Mominpur union unit of the Community Policing Forum organised the meeting with the assistance of RDRS Bangladesh, a reputed NGO, at Mominpur union parishad hall room under Sadar upazila in the district.
The NGO extended assistance in arranging the meeting under Justice Reform and Corruption Prevention (JRCP) Project being implemented by Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs with financial cooperation of German Development Cooperation.
With Advisor of Mominur union unit of the Community Poicing Forum Mahbub Alam Chowdhury in the chair, Assistant Teacher of Centarerhat Kobi Dilruba Shahadat VIP High School Mamtazur Rahman attended the meting as the chief guest.
President of Mominur union unit of the Community Policing Forum Saheb Ali, its members Mohammad Shahjada, Abdul Aziz and officials of RDRS Bangladesh, civil society members and local elite took part in the open discussion.
Upazila Manager of the JRCP Project of RDRS Bangladesh Tahmina Akhter elaborately discussed on the anti-corruption and community policing activities and draft annual action plan on anti-corruption activities to be conducted in the union this year.
Filed Facilitator of the JRCP Project of RDRS Bangladesh Azim Ali moderated the meeting.
The meeting discussed and evaluated the activities conducted last year in preventing corruption prevention through creating mass public awareness in Mominpur union and placed the future annual action plans for the current year.
The speakers stressed for educating school level students on the values of honesty for positively changing their behavior to inspire them in building a corruption free society to accelerate national uplift and make the independence meaningful for everyone.
