Son murders father in Natore

NATORE, Sept 29 (UNB): A man was stabbed to death allegedly by his son in a sequel to a family feud in Gurudaspur upazila on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Samsal of Khamar Nachkoir village in the upzila.

Samsal locked into an argument with his daughter-in-law over a family dispute in the morning, said Salim Reza, officer-in-charge of the Gurudaspur Police Station.

At one stage of the argument, the victim’s son Rubel intruded into the brawl and stabbed Samsal in discriminately, leaving him severely injured.

Later, next-door neighbors took him to Gurudaspur Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor referred him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital considering the severity of his injury.

Samsal succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital, said the OC.
