Student killed by miscreants in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Feb 3 (BSS): A student was allegedly killed by some miscreants in Akua Bhangar Pool area of the district last night.

The victim was identified as Mehdi Hasan Antor, 24, a first year student of East West University in Dhaka and son of Abdul Malek of Gohailkandi area of the town.

Some unknown miscreants stabbed Antor indiscriminately with knives in the area while he was on his way back home, leaving him critically injured, said sub-inspector of Kotwali thana Noor Mohammad.

He was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Antor might have been killed over previous enmity, said Abu Md. Fazlul Karim, officer-in-charge of the thana.
