GOPALGANJ, July 12: Transplantation of Aman (T-Aman) this year is bright due to adequate rainfall in the last few days in the district.
According to Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Gopalganj sources, DAE has set a target of T-Aman paddy cultivation for the district at 8,320 hectares of land with a production target 18,780 metric tonnes (MT). Now farmers across the district are busy planting their T-Aman field.
Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC), Gopalganj distributed high quality seeds to farmers and supply of fertilisers, pesticides and other inputs at fair prices, sources said.
Rabi Farazi (45), a farmers of Durgapur union under Gopalganj Sadar upazila said, he cultivated T-Aman in this season and he expects to get the desired production because of good weather condition.
