Tangail, Rangpur road crashes kill five

A total of five persons were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail and Rangpurdistricts on Thursday, report agencies.
In Tangail, three people were killed and another was injured in a collision between a pickup van and a motorcycle in Bilaspur Bottola area of Dhanbari upazila in Tangail Thursday.
Police said the two of the deceased were on the motorcycle while the other was the pickup driver.
Identities of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.
In Rangpur, two people, including the driver of a covered van and his assistant, were killed in a road accident at the Barodorga overpass point on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway in Pirganj upazila here on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as driver Bayezid Ahmed, 20, son of Israfil Sheikh of Ulusara village in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur district, and Mushfiqur Rahman, 22, son of Sohel Bepari of Paiksha village in Nawabganj police station of Dhaka district.
