RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 14: To develop the education system and ensure quality education in public varsities, sophisticated technology education is mandatory. Because technology based education can vastly improve the existing education system, said experts.
The speakers underscored these in a daylong workshop at the senate building of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday on "AIF Promotion and Proposal Writing" project under HEQEP. The HEQEP is a programme initiated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with financial help of the World Bank (WB) for higher education in Bangladesh.
Addressing as the chief guest, RU Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammed Mizan Uddin inaugurated the workshop while Treasurer Prof. Sayen Uddin was present as special guest.
With a view to improving of higher education and also the dynamic leadership in the higher educational institutions HEQEP (Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project) is obviously a natural outcome, speakers expressed.
The speaker's emphasis on HEQEP would be helpful to raising qualities of teachers as well as students of the universities in both infrastructural and academic.
Among others, Prof. Korban Ali, Prof. Mozahar Ali and Dr. Zakir Hussain also spoke here.
About hundreds of teachers of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Pabna Science and Technology University (PSTU) and RU took part in the workshop.
