GAIBANDHA, Feb 7 (BSS): Agri-experts at a function here on Thursday advised farmers to use the latest and sustainable agri technologies for boosting agricultural production and attaining food security.
"Importance should be given to familiarize the farmers with modern agri-technologies instead of traditional ones to increase the overall production of crops," they said.
The agri-experts made the comments while addressing a concluding ceremony of two-day farmers' training on agri-technology transfer at the Sadar upazila agriculture office here. Department of Agriculture Extension arranged the training programme under the project 'Farmers Training in Upazila Level for Technology Transfer' (Second phase).
Deputy Director of DAE Mir Abdur Razzak addressed the function as the chief guest while Sadar upazila agriculture officer AKM Sadiqul Islam presided over the function.
