Ten-day tree fair begins in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, July 21 (BSS): A ten-day 'Fruits and Tree Fair-2019' began in the district under the joint initiative of the Manikganj District Administration, Department of Agriculture Extension and Department of Forest.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque inaugurated the fair on the play ground of the Manikganj Govern-ment High School on Saturday.

The minister urged the people including the students to plant at least one sapling at their court-yards and by the road side each.

He also suggested the people to make roof-top garden at their houses for getting fruits, vegetables, oxygen and make a favourable atmosphere.
