Three get life term imprisonment for murder in Sylhet

SYLHET, Mar 21 (BSS): A court here on Tuesday sentenced three people to life term imprisonment for killing a man in Sylhet city in 2007.

Sylhet Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Md Shahadat Hossain Pramanik handed down the verdict to Jharu Mia, hailed from Chandpur district, Jakir, an inhabitant in Sylhet and Lal Mia, resident of Moulvibazar district.

According to the prosecution, at night on November 28 in 2007 the convicts stabbed Abul Kalam to death at Bandar Bazar in the city, court sources said.
