Three killed in Cumilla road crash

CUMILLA, Sept 12 (UNB): Three people were killed as a bus knocked them down on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chandina upazila of Cumilla district on Tuesday morning.

The dead are Alamgir Hossain, 45, Abul Kalam and Baharam.

Md Mamun, in-charge of Illiotganj highway police outpost, said the bus first hit a motorbike and then two pedestrians at Harikhola in the upazila at 10:00 am, leaving motorcyclist Alamgir dead on the spot .

The injured were rushed to Chandina upazila health complex where they succumbed to injuries.

The driver fled the scene.

Process is underway to filed a case in this regard, said police.
