PABNA, Sept 02 (BSS): Three members of a family were killed when a truck hit their motorcycle in Demra Chakchakia area under Faridpur upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased were Sohel Rana, 32, son of Akkas Ali of Charpara village of Gunaigacha union under Chatmohar upazila of the district, his wife Aliya Khatun, 25, and daughter Sumaiya, 7.
The accident took place at around 09:30 am when a truck hit the motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving two bike riders Aliya and her daughter dead on the spot and Sohel Rana injured, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Faridpur Police Station Md. Hasnat Zaman.
Sohel Rana was first admitted to Faridpur Upazila Health Complex. Later, as his condition deteriorated, doctors transferred him to Pabna General Hospital. From there, Sohel died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the family members.

The deceased was identified as Bristi Akhter, 35, wife of Rubel, a resident of Paschimpara of the upazila. The accident took place around 9 am when a Mymensingh-bound bus ran over the woman. She died on the spot.
Purbadhala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nurul Alam confirmed the matter.
