Three remote char villages electrified in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, July 23 (BSS): Three remote villages of North Channel union of Faridpur Sadar Upazilla of this district were electrified yesterday evening through formal inauguration in a simple function held at Goldangi bazar ten miles away from district headquarter on the bank of river Padma.
A total of 262 consumers got electric connections through the implementation of the project taken up by Faridpur Pally Biddyut Samity (FPBS). FPBS constructed 4.71 kilometers of transmission line at an estimated cost of Taka 43 lakh.
According to FPBS sources, of the total 262 connections 258 were domestic, 2 commercial and the rest two were charitable purposes.
Sadar Upazilla parishad chairman Khondoker Mohteshaam Hossain Babor inaugurated the electrification line in the function presided over by Abdul Mazid Fakir while it was addressed among others by North Channel UP chairman Md. Mostakuzzaman,GM of FPBS Ram Sankar Roy and Md. Chunnu Mia.
