Thrust on saving Padma river from plastic pollution

RAJSHAHI, Sept 16: Activists of Paribesh Andolon Oikkya Parishad organised an exchange of views meeting with visitors in Lalon Shah Mancho area beside the river Padma to make people aware of saving the river from plastic and polythene pollution.

They also called upon the people to remove all plastic and polythene wastes from inside the river and encouraged to dump those inside dustbins supplied by Rajshahi City Corporation.

The exchange of views meeting was attended, among others, by Mahboob Tunku, Convener of Rajshahi Bashi, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Raj, Convener of Swadhinota Charcha Kendro and Rafiqul Islam Sentu, Convener of Porichhonno Rajshahi, Rezaul Karim Mohabbat, Member of Paribesh Andolon, Nazmul Hossain Raju, Akbar Amin Biddyuth, Bipul Rahman, Al Rashid Rahi, Syed Ahmed Babla and Muntasir Rahman Bhutto. Later, a number of dustbins of RCC were supplied to various shops of the city.
